University of Tennessee at Martin — Lecturers in Accounting

Lecturers in Accounting:  The University of Tennessee at Martin, College of Business and Global Affairs (CBGA), Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Political Science, is seeking applications for two Lecturers each to hold a one year appointment in Accounting.  The positions are open to applicants who hold a master’s degree or higher with eighteen (18) graduate hours in accounting.  A certification (i.e., CPA, CMA, CIA, etc.) is preferred.  Each position is a nine-month appointment with an anticipated start date of Fall 2022.

For each appointment, the primary responsibilities include teaching principle level courses in Financial and Managerial Accounting, with the possibility of also teaching one or more upper level accounting courses in cost accounting, auditing, and auditing information systems at the undergraduate level in a traditional live environment.  Additional responsibilities will include advising students, participating in curriculum / program development, assessing learning outcomes, and serving the College, University, and business community and may include teaching online and/or distance learning classes.  Candidates should demonstrate evidence of or potential for strong teaching abilities including effective pedagogic and communication skills. 

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
