St. Cloud State University seeks a dynamic, collaborative and creative leader to serve as the next Vice President for Finance and Administration. The Vice President for Finance and Administration will possess the intellectual vision and commitment necessary to be a contributing member of the senior administration of a growing and changing University, committed to its role as a leading state public university.

SCSU is part of the Minnesota State System, which is the largest single provider of higher education in the state with 37 institutions, including seven state universities and 30 community and technical colleges. The Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) reports to and is a trusted advisor to the President and fellow Cabinet members and is a member of the President’s Cabinet.  The VPFA is the chief fiscal officer charged with the fiduciary integrity of the university and leadership for financial, and sustainable physical resources.  As a member of the senior leadership team, the VPFA will provide effective leadership that will result in financial stability driven by strong academic and co-curricular programs, sound financial management and facilities planning.  

This individual will be expected to join the leadership of the university in implementing St. Cloud State University’s It’s Time framework and building a newly defined 21st century state university and foster innovation and organizational excellence through continuous improvement, analytical rigor and creative thinking.

As a leader, they will possess a collaborative spirit that puts others at ease and works to create culture of trust and respect that contributes to the success of the university and its faculty, staff, administrators, and students.  A demonstration of empathy for others and personal integrity based on the principles of equity and inclusion and being of service to others is essential.
