Baldwin Wallace University (BW) announces a national search for Dean of the College of Education & Health Sciences. The College of Education & Health Sciences community seeks an innovative, collaborative, and visionary leader to advance the College in the continued expansion and growth of its academic programs and interdisciplinary collaboration.

BW is an independent, comprehensive university located in Berea, Ohio, offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees, certificates, and professional education programs. Founded in 1845, BW was one of the first colleges to admit students without regard to race or gender – a spirit of inclusiveness which continues today.

The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer for the College of Education and Health Sciences. The next Dean will bring executive leadership experience and an entrepreneurial spirit in the collaborative development and implementation of a strategic vision, as well as being a leader and advocate for the College internally and externally. Other key responsibilities include:

Identifying priorities and key opportunities for growing existing programs, as well as continuing to develop new programs and markets;
Developing relationships with external partners and leaders in the fields of education, allied health, and healthcare that result in new partnerships and collaborations;
Expanding program opportunities using multiple modes of delivery to demonstrate the College’s commitment to providing ready access to its programs for education, allied health, and healthcare professionals and leaders;
Aligning the College’s own strategic planning with BW’s strategic plan.

The ideal candidate should be a strategic leader who possesses a record of academic and administrative excellence, innovation, and inclusive decision-making in positions of increasing responsibility.
