The University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking applications and nominations for 2 full-time clinical track faculty at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Periodontics, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine (POM).

Qualifications include teaching experience, clinical proficiency in periodontics, and potential for scholarly activity. The candidates shall demonstrate a passion for predoctoral education, the ability to apply technology to enhance teaching and learning, and the desire to exercise interdisciplinary collaborations. The school and POM are fully engaged in supporting a model for dental education that includes the incorporation of innovative technologies in education, interdisciplinary education and patient care, and evidence-based dentistry. Qualified candidates may aspire to become the periodontal predoctoral director.

POM has an active mentorship program and provides ample opportunities for career development and national/international networking. Opportunities are also available for participation in either intramural faculty practice or extramural practice. Salary and level of academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidates should have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent and the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan. Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Periodontology is desirable.
