Job Summary
The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Accounting to begin in August 2022. While we will consider candidates in any area, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience and/or interest in teaching Accounting Information Systems / Accounting Data Analytics, Managerial, or Financial.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide teaching excellence
  • Perform scholarly research for publication
  • Contribute to the mission of the Lubar School by engaging with, mentoring, and advising students, by providing service to the area, School, and University through committee support and other shared governance activities, and by enhancing the School's strong linkages with the business community.

    Minimum Qualifications
    · Ph.D. in Business or closely related field majoring in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution, or equivalent, by the start date. · Demonstrate teaching excellence through strong presentation skills and course evaluations.· Evidence of conducting high-impact research.· Practical experience in Accounting or related business field. · CPA licensure or other related professional license/certification.

    Preferred Qualifications
    · Demonstrated record of publications or potential to publish in scholarly journals. Candidates with new or anticipated Ph.D. degrees will have research under way that is likely to result in one or more publications in top tier scholarly journals.· Ability/commitment to teach in Accounting Information Systems/Accounting Data Analytics, Managerial, or Financial Accounting.· Demonstrated ability to incorporate emerging technologies and data analytics used in accounting and auditing practice into teaching and/or research.Experience in forming partnerships with members of the business community.
