Summary of Position
The Biomedical Sciences Program in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a Lecturer in Anatomy & Physiology, a full-time (1 FTE, academic year – nine month) teaching position with an expected starting date in January 2022.  

The Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences will be responsible for teaching five units (typically 20 credit hours) per academic year of Human Anatomy and Physiology, a two-semester course required of multiple baccalaureate programs at the University of New Hampshire-Durham.  Other duties will include formal academic advising of students and three units of service activities at the department, college, or university level.  Development of an independent research program is not part of the job responsibilities.

Renewal of the position after the initial three-year period occurs at the discretion of the college.  An appointment for a lecturer position includes the full benefits package of the University for non-tenure-track faculty.  Lecturers at UNH are represented by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) through a collective bargaining agreement.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in a discipline related to Biomedical Science is preferred.  Candidates should provide evidence of their commitment to excellence in teaching in the area of Biomedical Science and to working collaboratively to design, deliver, or improve lecture and/or laboratory courses.  Experience teaching in different modalities (in-person and online) is a priority.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching college-level human anatomy and physiology is highly desirable, as is the ability to work collaboratively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

Salary Information
Salary is complemented by the full benefits package of the University for non-tenure-track faculty.  Lecturers at UNH are represented by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) through a collective bargaining agreement.

This position is responsible for the supervision of Professional, Administrative, and Technical, Students.
