Responsibilities of UMass Global full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring and service. Research activities are supported, but not required. All faculty positions are non-tenure track, primarily hired at the rank of Assistant Professor, however, higher rank may be considered if appropriate. UMass Global offers competitive salaries with generous benefits.

Minimum requirements for the position are:

  • Doctoral degree in Information Technology
  • Industry experience or graduate study preparation in Information Management, Programming, Networking, Cloud Computing and Virtualization.
  • Experience developing Information Technology courses and competencies
  • Experience developing Information Technology degree programs, traditional and competency-based
  • Demonstrated strength teaching adult learners
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients and students
  • Interest in continuously exploring and mastering new technology
  • Willingness to learn and apply best practices for adult learning
