The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences (https://www.psych.udel.edu) at the University of Delaware (UD) invites enthusiastic and scholarly teachers to apply for an Assistant Professor faculty position (Continuing Track, CT) focused on teaching and service.  The candidate will join our core faculty, which currently includes a group of teaching-intensive CT faculty, starting on August 16, 2022.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an inspiring teacher to join and strengthen the growing Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences and its teaching missions.  UD CT faculty are eligible for promotions and sabbaticals and receive full benefits, including tuition exchange for dependents.

The University of Delaware Newark, Delaware, is only a short drive or train commute from Philadelphia, PA. UD is also within driving distance of New York City, Baltimore, Washington DC, the Poconos, and some of the finest beaches in the country, making it an ideal location for day or weekend trips.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The position involves teaching up to four undergraduate and graduate level neuroscience courses each semester, including lab experiences for students of both levels. Service role for this position includes coordinating neuroscience lab activities for the department. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in teaching neuroanatomy and neuropharmacology in classroom and laboratory settings. Applicants for this position must have earned a Ph.D. and have a history of extensive teaching of basic and advanced neuroscience courses.
