Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of systems administration related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Over three years of related experience

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • ITIL Foundations, PMP

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with a diverse range of people
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with implementing and maintaining virtual desktops
  • Administers multiple Electronic Medical Record systems including maintaining and troubleshooting
  • Experience with general Cloud Computing in AWS or Azure
  • Ability to maintain cloud operations


  • System Administration – Managing multiple servers including systems maintain ePHI and confidential data.
  • Backup Administration – Design, implement and verify backup systems for TAMU Health.
  • Cloud Technician – Manage cloud computing resources, including data warehouses.
  • Technical Consultation – Implement and integrate new systems.
  • Troubleshooting – Troubleshoot and monitor various applications as need for TAMU Health.
  • Manager EMR – EMR management including administration, configuration and trouble shooting.
  • Professional Development – Participate in training and professional development sessions. Performs other duties as assigned.
