Position Announcement: Assistant/Associate Professor, Strategic Management & Business Development

Principle Duties: The Purdue White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality & Tourism Management is seeking a tenure track assistant or associate professor of Strategic Management & Business Development, to do research and teach courses in hospitality and tourism management, strategic planning, and business development. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly and non-scholarly endeavors, such as grant writing, advising students, pursuing external funding and engage in department, college, and university service committees and activities.

Qualifications: Applicants must be committed to excellence in discovery, teaching, and service to the hospitality and tourism industry. A Ph.D. in Hospitality & Tourism Management or a related discipline (e.g. Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Economics, etc.), with a minimum of two years management experience in the hospitality or tourism business, a strong publication record, and previous teaching experience, is required.

Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality & Tourism Management is an integral part of the College of Health and Human Sciences, with a Program ranked among the best in the United States. Purdue HTM is situated in the heart of the main campus in West Lafayette, Indiana. The University has more than 44,000 students and is located in a prosperous county of about 150,000 people.
