Binghamton University — Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Theatre: Acting & Directing

Binghamton University seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Acting & Directing. The successful candidate will have expertise in Black, Indigenous, Latinx, AAPI (Asian American/Pacific Islander) or MENA (Middle Eastern North African) theatre, significant experience teaching college-level acting, and a professional background in acting and/or directing. Experience in teaching directing at the college level is desired. The preferred candidate’s pedagogical approach will be informed by professional practice and influenced by traditional and emerging trends in actor training. We seek an artist-teacher whose pedagogy, creative activity, and/or professional experience is rooted in diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion as fundamental cornerstones of public education and has experience working with diverse student populations.
