The Faculty of Leadership & Integrative Studies (LIS) in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for an Instructor faculty position for the 2022-2023 academic year. The successful candidate will build and teach courses for the BA and MS degrees in Organizational Leadership.

Teaching assignments are at the graduate and undergraduate levels and may occur in a variety of modalities (online, on-ground, hybrid) and campuses (Tempe, Downtown Phoenix, or Polytechnic). The course load is determined by the faculty head and typically consists of five classes per semester. The contract for this position requires 100% teaching. The expectation is to teach primarily in the MS in Organizational Leadership program. Professional development opportunities are varied and abundant in our robust governing structures and diffused leadership.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible position renewable on an academic-year basis contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. The candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.

The Faculty of Leadership and Integrative Studies is a vibrant community of 46 full‐time faculty, 60 part-time faculty members, and three full‐time staff members dedicated to excellent teaching, scholarship and service. We offer seven undergraduate degrees, two minors, one certificate program, three IDS concentration areas, and three graduate degrees. Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in organizational leadership or related field (social sciences, business, interdisciplinary studies, etc.) from a regionally-accredited institution
  • Post-secondary teaching experience in organizational leadership or a related field
  • Evidence of a commitment to meeting the needs of diverse/underrepresented student and/or community populations via teaching and mentoring
  • Excellent English written and spoken communication skills
  • Familiarity with current scholarship within organizational leadership or related field
  • Ability to teach in multiple modalities: in person and online

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching diverse populations
  • Experience developing, refining, and/or assessing curriculum
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students in organizational leadership or related fields
  • Experience working in collaborative environments
  • Engagement with current scholarship within organizational leadership or related field
  • Experience teaching in multiple modalities: in person and online
