The principal focus of this job is to support the mission of Valparaiso University by creating a community of learning dedicated to excellence and grounded in the Lutheran tradition of scholarship, freedom and faith, to prepare students to lead and serve in both church and society.

Reporting to the AVP for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (AVP DEI), the Director of Multicultural Programs will have primary responsibility for operating the Office of Multi-cultural programs with the mission of engaging the Valparaiso University community in intercultural dialogue and cultural identity development. With a direct focus on the underrepresented and minoritized communities, the Director will develop and implement systems and programs that assist students in their social/cultural development process, including retention and personal support. The Director will serve as a primary resource and supervisor for the Assistant Director, Program Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, and student staff.
