The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting seeks a tenure-track, 9-month faculty member to teach Accounting beginning August 16, 2022. Teaching assignments are based on individual qualifications and departmental need, but candidates in all areas of Accounting are welcome. Candidates with expertise in Financial Accounting are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be able to perform teaching responsibilities encompassing at least two accounting sub-disciplines using various instructional modalities. Candidates must embrace diversity and be comfortable with community engagement and service that will include student advising, undergraduate research and experiential learning.

Minimum qualifications: Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or related field by August 16, 2022, with relevant coursework in accounting from an accredited institution. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching college-level accounting courses and the potential for quality teaching and research at the AACSB “Scholarly Academic, or SA, designation. ABD candidates with planned completion dates by August 15, 2022, are welcome to apply.

To qualify for the rank of Associate Professor, candidates must have a Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or related field with six years of academic experience beyond the terminal degree by August 16, 2022, and at least three recent publications in indexed journals.

Preferred qualifications:
• A demonstrated record of teaching graduate level accounting courses
• A record of scholarly contributions, such as publications in refereed journals, conference presentations, etc.
• A record of excellence in academic advising
• A record of contributions to curriculum development
• At least two years of industry experience in accounting and/or finance by the start date of employment.
