The Department of Psychology at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) applications for an Assistant Professor with expertise in Mental Health. The Psychology is seeking Department offers strong degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level, with outstanding faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2022. 

The position requires teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses such as Abnormal psychology and Clinical Psychology, in addition to other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to maintain a productive record of research and scholarship, and to advise and mentor students in research. 

The specific area of expertise within Mental Health is open (for example: clinical psychology, counseling psychology, etc.), as is the specific research focus. There are many opportunities for research collaboration with faculty members and students in our graduate programs (Applied Behavior Analysis, Cognitive, Developmental, Industrial/Organizational, Neuroscience, and School Psychology) as well as In other Departments at UNO and with researchers In the greater Omaha metropolitan area (at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, for example). 

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in psychology or equivalent international degree at the start of their appointment, and have expertise in mental health, broadly defined.
