University of Missouri — Assistant / Associate Teaching Professor NTT in Public Health

The University of Missouri is seeking applicants for a full-time, Non-Tenure Track (NTT), Assistant or Associate Teaching faculty in the Department of Public Health. The Department of Public Health offers both MPH and BPH degrees. Our courses are offered in person, in hybrid formats, and online. Both degrees have 100% online pathways, as well as traditional classroom offerings. Our department’s strengths include the following areas: One Health, public health communication, social justice, rural health, and broad practice experience.

The primary responsibility of this position will include (1) teaching public health courses including but not limited to Human Health & the Environment, Climate Change, Food Safety, Health Care in the U.S., and Emergency Preparedness (2) developing new curriculum, and (3) contributing service to fit the Department/School/University needs.

Minimum Qualifications: A completed Doctoral Degree (PhD or DrPH) in Public Health or related fields by the time of appointment, with practical experience in course subject area.

Candidates will be evaluated on educational preparation, subject matter expertise, ability to teach core courses in the department, and ability to develop new courses to prepare graduate and undergraduate students seeking to work with diverse populations in the public health field. Specialty areas desired include, but are not limited to veterinary public health, health policy, community health and prevention, and environmental health.
