TCU’s AddRan College of Liberal Arts Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Cluster Hire 

The AddRan College of Liberal Arts at Texas Christian University is pleased to announce a multi-position diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring initiative in the thematic area of race, ethnicity, and social justice across humanities and social science disciplines primarily at the tenure-track (pre-tenure) level. AddRan desires to build a cohort of teacher-scholars across disciplines and areas of specialization interested in teaching and conducting research on race, racism, ethnicity, and social justice. The race, ethnicity, and social justice cluster hire seeks teacher-scholars from multiple disciplines who may engage with any of the following areas: African and African Diaspora studies, Migration and Diasporas, Caribbean Studies, Critical Race Theory, Transformative Justice, Intersectionality Studies, Emotional Labor of Racialization, Decolonial and Postcolonial Thought, Digital, Public and Spatial Humanities, Blackness and/in the Global South and/or Gender and Sexuality Studies, Indigenous and Native American Studies, African and African American Studies, Asian American and Pacific Islander Studies, and LatinX Studies. The cluster hire serves to 1) recruit and retain a diverse community of scholars; 2) create a network and support system for a diverse community of scholars; 3) strengthen the colleges offerings in race, ethnicity, and social justice that enhances a university-wide core curriculum with a DEI component; and 4) attract students from diverse backgrounds to major and minor in AddRan College of Liberal Arts disciplines. As part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Cluster hire, AddRan College will provide the cohort with opportunities and resources to participate in mentoring and peer-support circles, research & writing workshops and other ongoing professional development.

  • Assistant Professor of Political Science (American Politics)
  • Assistant Professor of Religion (Christianities in the US)
  • Assistant Professor of Sociology
  • Endowed Chair in History (Neville G. Penrose Chair of History and Latin American Studies)
