Position Description:
The Wilf Family Department of Politics seeks candidates for three faculty positions for scholars conducting outstanding research on the subjects of race, identity, and inequality in domestic, comparative, or international contexts. The primary focus of our search is at the tenure track assistant professor level; however, we may consider more senior candidates under exceptional circumstances. The positions are to begin September 1, 2022, pending administrative approval.

This search is part of a broader cluster of recruitment efforts in Race, Identity, and Inequality that spans the Departments of Politics and Sociology in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and the Wagner School of Public Service. A primary aim of the cluster is to create a network for scholars working in these areas to collaborate across NYU. Candidates are expected to possess a PhD by September 2022, in political science or a cognate discipline; to have records of excellent research; and to indicate the potential to be future disciplinary leaders in their respective fields of expertise. Candidates should also have demonstrated ability as excellent teachers at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. NYU is dedicated to the goal of building a diverse and inclusive academic community.
