The Morgridge College of Education (MCE) Marketing Team supports MCE faculty, staff, and students by providing guidance, expertise, creative ability, and support for all marketing, social media, enrollment, public relations, and event initiatives. The Digital Marketing Specialist maintains MCE’s web presence and supports digital marketing and social media initiatives on behalf of the college. They provide consultation, content management, and subject matter expertise in the areas of information architecture, digital asset creation, web content management, search engine optimization, digital marketing, and digital communications.

Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist maintains MCE’s web presence and supports digital marketing and social media initiatives on behalf of the college. They provide consultation, content management, and subject matter expertise in the areas of information architecture, digital asset creation, web content management, search engine optimization, digital marketing, and digital communications.

Essential Functions

  • Social media planning and posting.
  • Digital communications.
  • Maintaining and updating electronic and postal stakeholder lists.
  • Design, creation, and management of creative collateral for digital and print platforms (electronic signs, websites, social media channels, postal mail, posters, etc.).
  • Video editing.
  • Event promotion.
  • Web content management.
  • Press release development.
  • Review and reporting of digital metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Digital advertising skills including experience with variety of platforms and software.
  • Excellent collaborator including the ability to collaborate with peers, subordinates, and senior leaders in achieving objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with technical and non-technical colleagues to successfully execute projects in support of marketing, communication and event planning goals.
  • Ability to be resourceful, flexible, and a team player.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of Revised Section 508 Standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Experience with digital asset creation tools including Canva and the Adobe suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with web analytics and auditing tools (Google Analytics, SiteImprove, etc.).
  • Experience with HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with Drupal.
  • Professional experience working in social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Working knowledge of Research-Based Web Design and Usability Guidelines (Usability.gov).
  • Experience with multichannel marketing tools including MailChimp and SproutSocial.

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number
The salary grade for the position is 9.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $62,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
