The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical vascular surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery for vascular surgery and, ideally, for general surgery, or eligible for these certifications.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, residents, fellows and others in the operating room, on inpatient rounds and in the outpatient clinic.

Clinical responsibilities may include the full range of open vascular and endovascular surgery procedures in a tertiary-care hospital outfitted with a hybrid OR.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include pursuit of clinical and/or translational research related to vascular surgery.

This position will be housed at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, a full member institution of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Candidates with fellowship training will be preferred.
