The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of inpatient cardiovascular medicine. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular disease.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, medical residents, and cardiovascular fellows. There will also be opportunities to teach advanced practice providers. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities may include attending on the inpatient services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on the busy inpatient clinical cardiology services as well as the general cardiology consult service. There may be opportunities to attend on the cardiology critical care unit for candidates that have experience in critical care and heart failure. Opportunities for non-invasive imaging will be considered based on the candidate's experience and the needs of the division.
