Visiting Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering

The School of Engineering, housed in the College of Applied and Social Sciences at the University of Mount Union invites applicants for a visiting faculty position at the assistant professor rank for the 2021-22 academic year. We seek an educator-scholar with emphasis in geotechnical engineering. The School of Engineering currently offers ABET-accredited programs in civil and mechanical engineering. Newly created programs in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering will seek ABET accreditation after graduating their first classes in 2022.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate engineering education in a liberal arts setting. Industrial experience is highly desirable. Primary responsibilities include teaching geotechnical engineering courses and labs, civil engineering, and introductory engineering courses, participating in the ABET accreditation process, and service to the School, College and University. Ph.D. in civil engineering or a closely related field. A PE license in civil or geotechnical engineering would be a plus.
