New Administrative Positions for Eight African Americans in Higher Education

Troy A. Miller was named vice president for enrollment management at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. Since 2018, he has been associate vice provost and director of admissions at the University at Buffalo in New York. Previously, he served as the assistant vice president for enrollment management at Bowie State University in Maryland.

Miller is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina, where he majored in business administration. He holds a master’s degree in human resource management from the New York Institute of Technology and is completing work on an educational doctorate at Morgan State University in Baltimore.

Sasha Johnson-Coleman is the new vice president for institutional advancement at Denmark Technical College in South Carolina. She is the former assistant vice provost at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. Earlier, she served on the faculty at Norfolk State University in Virginia.

Dr. Johnson-Coleman is a graduate of the University of Richmond in Virginia. She holds a master’s degree in Slavic languages and literature from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Georgia.

Jamina Scippio-McFadden was appointed director of the Houston campus of Our Lady of the Lake University. She most recently served as director of the Center at Springfield of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She joined the UMass Center in 2014 as the director of marketing and community relations.

Scippio-McFadden received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. She earned a master’s degree in communications from the University of Florida.

W. Tramaine Rausaw has been appointed the inaugural vice president of student and community engagement at Mohave Community College in Kingman, Arizona. Dr. Rausaw most recently served as dean of student life at Central Arizona College.

Dr. Rausaw holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He earned master’s and doctoral degrees in higher education leadership from Northcentral University.

Leslie Fountain Williams was recently named vice president of finance and administration at Centralia College in the state of Washington. She has been serving as chief of staff to the president and board of trustees liaison at Helene Fuld College of Nursing in New York City. Earlier, Dr. Fountain Williams was manager of finance at the University of Oregon.

Dr. Fountain Williams is a graduate of the College at Brockport in New York, where she majored in accounting. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Rochester and Roberts Wesleyan College in New York and a doctorate in adult and higher education from Oregon State University.

Bill H. Means is the new director of the Career and Professional Development Center at Florida A&M University. Since 2019, he has been director of career services at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Means has also worked in career services at Delaware State University, Livingstone College in North Carolina, Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, Queens University of Charlotte, and Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

A native of Concord, North Carolina, Dr. Means earned his bachelor’s degree at Tennessee State University. He holds a master’s degree from  North Carolina A&T State University and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Crystal S. Neuhauser is the new vice president of institutional advancement at Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. She was the associate vice president of advancement at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire.

Neuhauser earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. She holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership from New England College.

Jason Horn is the new director of athletics at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens. Since 2014, he has served as assistant vice president and director of athletics and recreation at Xavier University of Louisiana. Earlier, he was associate athletics director at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Horn is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he majored in communications.
