Bryn Mawr College — Residential Life Coordinator

The Residential Life office at Bryn Mawr College has two openings for energetic individuals who are invested in the academic, social, and emotional growth of students to join our relationship-centered Residential Life team. 

The Residential Life Coordinator position is a 10-month, full-time position in the Office of Residential Life. The Coordinator also provides nighttime and weekend on-call support to the Bryn Mawr residential community and assists with departmental planning efforts, operational tasks, and campus events and program.  Provide on-call consultation and/or response for emergency situations.  Assist with recruitment, selection, training, advising, and evaluation of 40 undergraduate HAs. Facilitate weekly small group meetings and monthly individual meetings with HAs.  Consult and collaborate with other departments about issues related to the overall student experience. Work with undergraduate students to plan campus activities and events as needed.  Assist as needed with administrative procedures (i.e. room draw, dorm closings, break housing, etc.).

The RLCs will be part of a three-person on-call rotation. Standard on-call hours are 7:00pm-9am on weekdays and 5:00pm Friday evening through 9:00am Monday morning. 

Bachelor’s degree requited but Master’s is preferred.  The ideal candidate will have at least one-year post-undergraduate experience in housing, residential life, college, counseling, or related field; training intergroup dialogue, conflict mediation or group facilitation experience, on-call and/or crisis response experience.  Must be committed to social justice and inclusion and a desire to work with a diverse population.  

Evenings and weekends are required. Due to on-call and evening and weekend responsibilities, applicants must have reliable transportation and live within 30 minutes of campus.

This generalist position is designed to provide the opportunity for a comprehensive and valuable experience in student life work in a selective, residential liberal arts college setting.

Salary is $42,000 annually.
