Virginia Tech — Visiting Assistant Professor of Directing

VIRGINIA TECH- Visiting Assistant Professor of Directing. Full-time, 1-year appointment. Salary commensurate with training and experience. Start date: August 2021. The successful candidate will teach required courses in Directing. The expected teaching load is three/three courses per academic year.

The Theatre & Cinema program in the School of Performing Arts at Virginia Tech seeks a dynamic creative artist with theatre directing credentials to join our exploration of what theatre can be in the 21st century.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • MFA in Theatre
  • College level teaching experience in directing
  • Post graduate directing experience

Preferred:

  • Professional directing credits
  • College level teaching experience in script analysis and related areas of directing/performance theatre making, and the ability to teach in a secondary area.
