University of Rhode Island — Dean, Graduate School

Serve as the executive officer of the Graduate Faculty and the senior administrative officer of the Graduate School and as a member of the Council of Deans. Principal responsibilities are to provide leadership for graduate education at the University and work collaboratively with Deans and faculty to implement the graduate education mission, lead efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in graduate education, and develop a strategic plan for the Graduate School. Provide guidance and innovation in the development of graduate programs consistent with the mission and strategic plan and strategically and effectively manage enrollment, yield, and retention in graduate programs. Provide encouragement and support of faculty initiatives in graduate education, oversee administrative support for graduate education, and monitor assessment of graduate offerings. Work effectively with Deans of the degree-granting colleges at the University and with the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Research as well as with entities within the State and region that provide external support for the University’s graduate programs.
