Assistant Professor of Anatomic Pathology – Wildlife Emphasis, University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, New Bolton Center, Kennett Square, PA

The Diagnostic Pathology Service at New Bolton Center (NBC), Department of Pathobiology, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants for a faculty position in Anatomic Pathology with a Wildlife Emphasis in the Academic Clinician (AC) track in Kennett Square, PA. This position is expected to establish a diagnostic and surveillance program in partnership with the Penn Vet Wildlife Futures Program and the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System through skillful interpretation of lesions in a wide range of wild and domestic species, primarily avian and mammalian. The Wildlife Futures Program at NBC is integrated with the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System (PADLS), a tripartite animal diagnostic laboratory system funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics (AAVLD). In addition to providing diagnostic services for the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Penn Vet's Widener Hospital, the laboratory also receives livestock (horses, cattle, small ruminants, camelids, poultry), companion animal (dogs and cats), and laboratory animal diagnostic necropsy cases. The position also requires clinical training of veterinary and postdoctoral students in veterinary pathology.
