Assistant Professor

The School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor position, with the appointment starting August 15, 2021, although the start date is negotiable. 

Essential Function: An Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati is expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and other professional or creative activities. This position will support the University of Cincinnati’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all of our activities. 

Minimum Qualifications: Must have obtained a Doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related discipline within the social sciences, behavioral health or related fields by the time of appointment. 

Ideal Qualifications: Areas of specialization are open but preference will be given to applicants with research, teaching and service activities that speak to issues of diversity, race/ethnicity and inclusion within Criminal Justice or Criminology. Applicants must have a strong record of scholarship or provide evidence of the potential to develop a strong research program.
