Union College — Visiting Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering Department at Union College of Schenectady, NY invites applications for two visiting assistant professor positions starting January 2022.  A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field) is required, but applicants close to finishing the Ph.D. will also be considered.  We strongly encourage applications from members of groups traditionally underrepresented in the field.  Increasing diversity on campus is a top priority for Union, one that is integral to our mission of preparing students for a globally interconnected world.

The successful candidates would teach and develop content for a range of undergraduate courses and laboratories in the areas of solid mechanics, engineering graphics, and/or manufacturing as well as teach other common introductory engineering science courses.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching is a requirement for success in the position.
