Soka University of America — Adjunct Faculty for Fall 2021 in Financial Economics

Soka University of America (SUA) seeks a part-time/adjunct instructor to teach, one course, Financial Economics during the fall term of 2021. Position begins in September 2021. Applicants with PhD in Economics and teaching experience preferred. ABD candidates in Economics will be considered. Salary commensurate with experience.  

Course Description: In this  course,  students  are  introduced  to  the  analysis  of  financial  assets  and  institutions.  The course emphasizes modern asset pricing theory, the role of the modern corporation and the role of financial intermediaries, and their regulation, in the financial system. Topics covered include net present value calculations, asset  pricing  theories,  investment  theory, the  efficient  market theory,  the  term  structure  of  interest  rates, central  bank  policy,  and  (time  permitting)  financial derivatives.
