Coastal Carolina University — Housing Services Coordinator

University Housing at Coastal Carolina University (CCU) seeks dynamic individuals to apply for the position of Housing Services Coordinator. The Housing Services Coordinator is a live-in position reporting to the Assistant Director of Housing Services and serves as a member of the Resident Success unit, which fosters a student-centered environment that fulfills the goals and mission of University Housing with a focus on resident care, safety, and success. The Housing Services Coordinator will serve approximately 4,700 on-campus residents by coordinating and administering University Housing desk operations, managing desk staff, and establishing and promoting a culture of service excellence. 

Duties of the Housing Services Coordinator include, but are not limited to: develop and implement desk operations; recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate 125-150 undergraduate and graduate student staff; oversee information system and residential access control protocols; respond to crisis and emergencies and serve in an on-call rotation; manage logistics of camp and conference business; and model, promote, and ensure exceptional customer service delivery. Able to work evenings and weekends during peak times of the year and able to respond to on-campus crisis and emergencies. Physically able to walk through communities, including up/down stairs in communities without elevators. Position oversees Paraprofessional Student Desk Assistants (100+), Paraprofessional Student Desk Managers (7 – 9), and Paraprofessional Student Conference Assistants (20+). 

Qualifications: A master’s degree and experience in student services programs are required. Experience working with college students in a university or college student housing setting, prior experience managing customer service desks, and camps and conferences are preferred.
