To help support the work of the University, we have an immediate opening for an Assistant/ Associate Professor of Social Work.

Position Reports To:  Chair, Department of Social Services

Position Summary: The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for coordinating the field education component of the social work curriculum, teaching courses, conducting research, advising students, and participating in college-wide academic initiatives. 

Qualifications:  

  • Completion of a Ph.D. in social work or a closely related discipline
  • A master’s degree in social work
  • Two years of post-MSW practice experience are required

Duties and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities in our CSWE accredited BSW program include teaching, administering all aspects of our field education program including student placement, and oversite of students in the field, as well as development and maintenance of relationships with community agencies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active research program.
