Wilberforce’s New Center for Entrepreneurship, Social Good, and Transformational Leadership

Historically Black Wilberforce University in Ohio has announced the establishment of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Social Good, and Transformational Leadership. The new center is made possible by a donation from Dr. Mark and Mrs. Shelly Wilson. Dr. Wilson is an alumnus and board chair of Wilberforce University and CEO and founder of Chime Solutions, Inc. The company provides customer service operations to firms that prefer to outsource this facet of their business.

The Center will serve as a core to create an experience for Wilberforce students to develop and cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit, participate in transformative leadership opportunities, and understand the social justice issues of our time. The primary mission is to generate change through the development of entrepreneurs, to impact the social good through research, engagement and action, and to inspire leadership that transforms communities.

  1. This is awesome news and might I suggest that the new director consider a partnership with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (nfte.com). As Ohio’s master teacher, I instruct and guide high schoolers and fellow educators in starting their own businesses and owning their futures. Plus, the collaboration would strike GOLD with your “state-side” “Route 42 neighbor.”
