Position Summary:
The Department of Education and Counseling at Villanova University invites applications for a teaching-focused Continuing Non-Tenure Track (CNT) Assistant Teaching Professor of Counseling position, to begin in the Fall of 2021. We seek candidates whose research, teaching, and/or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse audiences in higher education, particularly in the area of counseling. Villanova's counseling program is CACREP-accredited, offers masters-level school and clinical mental health counseling degrees, and an undergraduate counseling minor. Duties and Responsibilities:
Our new colleague will teach evening graduate courses, advise students, manage efforts to assess program-level student learning outcomes, and develop new field-site partnerships. The teaching load consists of four courses each semester, with an option to teach during the summer for additional compensation. Counseling faculty are required to infuse training in multicultural and social justice competencies throughout all courses in the curriculum. Courses to be taught may include: Ethics, Practicum, Internship, Clinical Mental Health Orientation. As a university that prides itself on small classroom sizes and a supportive student-instructor culture, faculty are provided multiple resources for enhancing their teaching strategies, as well as support from colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:
1) Commitment to (and track record of) infusion of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in one's teaching and professional work.
2) Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program.
3) Passion for and success in teaching in higher education settings, with demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness.
4) Passion for and successful experiences in clinical practice, with LPC capability.
5) Excitement to work collaboratively as a team player and contributing member of the department.
6) The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (degree completed by August 2021), with at least 2-years of clinical experience (LPC preferred).
