Academic Administrator / Group Practice Leader Section of Restorative Dentistry

The University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry invites qualified applications for three 50% (2 1⁄2 days per week) Academic Administrators in the Section of Restorative Dentistry. The Faculty/Academic Administrator positions are linked to the functional role Group Practice Leader (GPL), where expertise in general dentistry is essential.

The start date for these 50% positions is May 1st, 2021. The search will remain open until the positions have been filled. Applicants must possess: (1) a DMD/DDS degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or equivalent, (2) a California dental license in good standing (or be eligible to obtain one) and (3) a minimum of 5 years in general private practice with an outstanding and verifiable record in patient care.

In addition, the applicants must be willing to continue to exercise the tasks of a general dentist, including patient screening, basic patient assessment, treatment planning, delivery of care and patient management in a teaching scenario. Teaching experience at a dental school, including management and staff supervision responsibilities, is highly desirable. A track record of scholarly activity is desirable, as well as demonstration of or likely commitment to diversityrelated teaching and service. Familiarity with dental clinical databases and generation of reports is also desirable. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
