Central State University Enters Partnership With Missouri State University

A new partnership between historically Black Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, and Missouri State University will enable Central State students to embark on a path toward an accelerated master’s degree.

The agreement allows for Central State students to start taking graduate course work in their program of choice during their junior or senior year. The accelerated master’s program will be open to all students graduating from 33 academic disciplines where there are no competing master’s degree programs offered at Central State University.

“With this partnership, Central State University students can complete their bachelor’s degree, while at the same time jump-start the process of earning a top-quality master’s degree from Missouri State University,” said Clif Smart, president of Missouri State University. “This will save them time and money, and support their future academic and career success.”

Jack Thomas, president of Central State University, added that “it’s an honor for Central State University to partner with Missouri State, a university that aligns with our values and mission which is focused on empowering students and campus community members to become global citizens who influence society for the better. It certainly warms our hearts to partner with them as we develop the next generation of innovative leaders.”

    • You’re absolutely correct Monica. Can Jack Thomas exhaustively explain why or what collaborative academic program they have with Wilberforce University? Hey Jack, with all of the R1 and R2 PWIs in the state of Ohio, can you explain why you don’t any academic partnership with any of Ohio’s PWIs? This doesn’t pass the smell test Jack.
