Job Description

The Assistant Director of TRIO First In The Pack is responsible for the day-to day operation of the program including recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, provision of academic support activities to participants, measuring participation and outcomes, and making recommendations based on program assessment. The AD also recruits and selects program participants, assists with federal and university annual reporting and compliance with grant requirements. The AD also monitors program budget, web page maintenance, and participant selection and reports to the Student Services' First-Generation Student Services Executive Director.

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in psychology, education, counseling and three years(3) of related work experience. Related Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in an educational program, student support programming or related area including program administration and policy implementation. Experience working with academic support programs serving diverse populations such as TRIO or GEAR UP. Experience working TRIO Student Support Services programs or other programs focused on low-income, first generation, or academically disadvantaged students is preferred.
