Under the general direction of the AVP of HR, the HRIS Analyst provides critical process and systems support to help ensure HR operations and data are managed effectively. Partnering with multiple stakeholders across the college, this position is responsible for leading HRIS projects involving the mapping, documentation, refinement, automation, and testing key HR processes. This position serves as the lead Workday liaison to the technology and payroll teams on HR process, systems, and data.

This position is the reporting expert on the HR team and supports HR in configuring and writing Workday reports, as well as overseeing annual HR compliance reporting. As the technical expert on the HR team, the position will also prepare and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, technical and functional system requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Technical Liaison and Workday Project Lead – 65%

  • Serve as lead Workday liaison to the technology and payroll teams on HR process, systems, and data.
  • Develop project scopes, design, and testing documents
  • Work with the HR team and key stakeholders across the organization to map out, refine, and automate key HR processes; continually evaluate and develop solutions that meet operational objectives
  • Responsible for HRIS management, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and accuracy of data; conducts audits, identifies and addresses data inconsistencies
  • Instruct HR stakeholders on the importance of properly populated fields that affect processes or systems downstream, how to update fields in Workday and where to find the information in order to input it into Workday
  • Provide advanced HRIS support for the HR team and end users; tracks and analyzes data on issues/inquiries, identifies trends and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Complete Workday testing during system upgrades to ensure the system functions properly.

HR Reporting and Data Management – 20%

  • Configure and write Workday reports based upon the needs of the HR team and business function leaders
  • Manage annual HR reporting including EEO, HCSO, ACA, IPEDS, etc.
  • Manage large, complex sets of data, including reviewing, cleaning, and manipulating data
  • Data preparation and conversion support, applying advanced spreadsheet skills such as data formatting, LOOKUP formulas, and IF functions
  • Use reports and conducts audits to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data
  • Support AVP of HR in establishing HR metrics; produce custom reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements

Process Improvement – 15%

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, technical and functional system requirements
  • Maintain HR forms, user guides, and other information, ensuring they are updated online to ensure employees have access to current information
  • Provide feedback and recommend efficiency improvements on workflows and processes in HR
  • Train HR team and other employees as needed on relevant processes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; ideally with some experience as an HRIS technical lead and working in Human Resources
  • Experience using and supporting Workday or other ERP/HRIS software required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (expert in various functions such as vlookup, pivot tables etc.); experience in data retrieval aad report writing
  • Experience working with detailed and complex data sets highly desired
  • Advanced word processing and spreadsheet skills, in Google Drive preferred
  • Must be a self-starter able to handle multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal maturity, oral and written communication skills required
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strict attention to detail a must
  • Experience in higher education is a plus
