Job Description Summary
The Science Department at Cabrini University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology, commencing August 2021 to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology courses. We are seeking a creative, innovative educator who will teach Anatomy and Physiology I and II (taught in multiple sections) and General Physiology courses to science, allied health and nursing students, as well as integrate a newly acquired Anatomage virtual dissection table into instruction. The successful candidate will also develop and lead all the Anatomy and Physiology labs working with current anatomy lab instructors, so excellent team-working and communication skills are essential. We anticipate there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute to other undergraduate and/or graduate classes in the future according to the interests and expertise of the appointee and the needs of the department. Successful candidates must maintain an active research agenda in an area of specialization, engage undergraduate and graduate research students in research and utilize an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body. Other responsibilities will include student advising, capstone project teaching and supervision, curriculum development, service to the department and University, and engagement in scholarly and professional activities. Experience teaching under-prepared populations is a plus.

The Cabrini University Science Department is part of the School of Natural Sciences and Allied Health. It provides courses for undergraduate majors in chemistry, biology, nursing, a masters in biology, minors in chemistry and environmental science, and contributes to the general education curriculum of the University.
