The Associate Director works with colleagues and stakeholders in creating an inclusive environment for all students. The Associate Director is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Miami community through advocacy and education and through the development and implementation of programs, activities, and procedures designed to enhance the academic success, retention, and personal development of diverse student populations. The Center embodies a commitment to diversity/multiculturalism as expressed through ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic differences.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education, College Personnel, Counseling, or related field.
  • Three to five years of full-time working experience in Multicultural/Diversity Affairs, Leadership/Student Development, Student Activities or related area in a university setting.
  • Experience working with multicultural/diverse student populations.
  • Proven effectiveness in human relations including the ability to relate well with all segments of campus.
  • Strong assessment background required.
