Point Park University — Director of Equity and Inclusion

Point Park University seeks an innovative, results-oriented leader to serve as Director of Equity and Inclusion. The successful candidate for this position will develop a vision and strategy to support the strategic objective to deliver a Quality Student Experience and the University’s value to Foster a Community of Mutual Respect and Diversity.

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Equity and Inclusion is responsible for the on-going education, engagement, assessment, and improvement of multiple inclusion efforts. This person will help move the University forward by working closely with our University leadership team, students, staff, faculty, administration, organizations, and external constituencies, as well as moderating and facilitating the University-wide Inclusion Steering Committee and University-wide town halls and feedback sessions. The Director of Equity and Inclusion will collaborate with retention efforts to track recruitment, retention, and graduation of students of color, and will advise these departments on initiatives to improve these rates.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree with 3-7 years of experience focused on intercultural and transactional diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Proven record of driving cultural change at an institutional level
  • Strong emotional intelligence, influencing skills, and the ability to build relationships organization wide
  • Can articulate the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion in both written and verbal forms
