The Office of Admissions in Penn State Law at University Park is seeking a Director of Admissions and Recruitment to drive all recruitment efforts for the J.D. program. This position will be filled at the Director or Senior Director level.

The position is responsible for planning and executing an overarching recruitment strategy including online recruitment, plans for attending recruitment events, development of informational panels, oversight of email campaigns, personal outreach, social media, tours, campus events.

In addition, this position will supervise the recruitment work of an Assistant Director/Admissions Counselors and student workers. This includes being responsible for supporting the enrollment goals of the Office of Admissions by meeting recruitment goals.

The position will develop, implement, and supervise a wide variety of initiatives to recruit a diverse student body to Penn State Law. The successful candidate will build relationships with various groups and stakeholders across the university and at other undergraduate colleges to develop partnerships and opportunities for education and recruitment. A specific interest in building pipelines for diverse students and students from groups underrepresented in the practice of law is required. In addition to recruitment responsibilities the position will also review applications, interview students, oversee admitted student events, identify and train student volunteers, chair the Explore Law committee, and engage with prelaw advisors. Travel will be required from September – November.

The successful candidate will have 5 to 7 years of admissions and recruitment experience, particularly in professional graduate or law school, is required. Knowledge of ACES2, CRMs, social media platforms, collaborative software, and online meetings is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in developing and driving recruitment strategy is required.
