Pacific School of Religion (PSR), a graduate school and center for social justice in Berkeley, California, is seeking an innovative and collaborative leader to serve as the Vice President of Finance and Administration. The Vice-President of Finance and Administration reports to PSR’s President and is responsible for leading and directing PSR’s business functions including accounting, financial reporting/forecasting, budget development and oversight, talent management, facilities, and information technology. PSR employs a total of 32 faculty and staff and has an operating budget of $7.6 million. The VP provides stewardship over all financial and administrative operations, advises the President and Board on all financial and administrative matters, and is responsible for delivering support services to enhance the educational mission of the school.

Candidates must possess a track record of being a financial management and administrative leader with organizational growth experience and specific expertise in financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate is people centric, innovative, energetic and cares care deeply about how spiritually rooted and values-based leaders can shape and transform institutions and the world. They will be comfortable in a small shop environment and excited by the opportunity to help PSR realize long-term financial sustainability.

Experience should include at least eight to ten (8-10) years of progressive management experience in finance, accounting, and administration. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or public administration is required. A CPA and/or an advanced degree is preferred.
