The College of the Holy Cross — Vice Provost for Enrollment Management

The College of the Holy Cross (College), a Catholic, Jesuit liberal arts college, seeks an experienced, strategic, and ambitious leader to serve as its inaugural Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. Reporting directly to the Provost and Dean of the College, and serving on the President’s cabinet, the Vice Provost will lead a talented team of admissions and financial aid professionals charged with recruiting, assessing, financing, and enrolling the next generation of Holy Cross students. The incoming Vice Provost will bring a data-driven and forward-looking approach to the profession, as well as a distinguished track record of supporting access, diversity, and student-success initiatives.

One of the nation’s leading liberal arts institutions, Holy Cross offers an academically rigorous, personalized undergraduate education in the Jesuit tradition. Founded in 1843 on a hill overlooking the city of Worcester, Holy Cross has a picturesque campus community that is home to 3,100 students who value intelligence, passion, discernment, and civic engagement. 

The inaugural Vice Provost will develop a cohesive enrollment management strategy for the College, uniting the admissions and financial aid teams in order to execute it. Partnering with administrative leaders, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners, the Vice Provost will work collaboratively across campus to enhance the College’s approach to the full enrollment lifecycle. The successful candidate will proactively advance Holy Cross’s aim to build and maintain a campus environment that is academically rigorous, globally engaged, inclusive, diverse, and aligned with the College’s Jesuit, Catholic Mission. 

The successful hire must be excited to assume an inaugural role; an individual who enjoys forging their own path, building, and operating strategically without strict guidelines. The Vice Provost will be an analytical, creative leader with the ability to set ambitious enrollment targets and steward financial aid strategically. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of accomplishment in growing applicant pools, guiding strategic planning processes, leading high functioning teams, mentoring emerging leaders in the field, promoting a culture of data driven decision making, collaborating across campus with senior leaders and faculty, and fostering an inclusive, culturally competent community.
