Expertise is required in the specific area of plastic surgery, with a focus on craniofacial and adult reconstructive surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students and plastic surgery residents and fellows.
