Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Pitches In to Help Fight the Coronavirus

The campus community at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania rallied together to collect more than 50 cases of personal protective equipment for area healthcare workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our science departments have significant supplies such as disposable gloves, masks, surgery gowns, shoe covers, surgery caps, and dust masks that will not be needed this semester,” said Anna Hull, associate professor and chair of the biology department.

Hull worked with other department members and Robert Langley, chair and professor department of chemistry and physics, to inventory what supplies the biology, chemistry and physics, and engineering departments could donate. “Dr. Langley and I agreed that we should do what we can to share these items with the community to alleviate any local or national shortage,” Dr. Hull stated

With support from Lincoln President Brenda A. Allen and after confirming that essential personnel on campus had ample supplies, Dr. Hull joined other faculty, staff, and community volunteers in delivering the supplies to Chester County Hospital.
