New College of Florida — Director of the Center for Community Outreach and Engagement

Located in Sarasota, New College of Florida has educated intellectually curious students for lives of great achievement since its founding in 1960. As the State of Florida’s designated honors college, New College provides an exceptional undergraduate education that transforms students’ intellectual curiosity into personal accomplishment. The 110-acre bay front campus is home to students and faculty engaged in interdisciplinary research and collaborative learning. New College offers nearly 40 areas of concentration for undergraduates and a master’s degree program in Data Science. The College is accepting applications for the recently created position of Director of the Center for Community Outreach and Engagement.

The Center for Community Outreach and Engagement (CCOE) supports student learning and co-curricular connections to student learning and career interests through a variety of programs developed in collaboration with SA[u]CE, faculty, the Center for Career Engagement and Opportunity (CEO) and in one-on-one interactions with students. The Director of the Center for Community Outreach and Engagement is responsible for the day-to-day management of the CCOE.

The Director plans, organizes, and directs the development and implementation of research programs and services related to CCOE, and implements appropriate policies and procedures. S/he Identifies opportunities and resources that align to the College’s strategic objective of strengthening the relationship between the community and the college, and provides leadership and management of institutional grants and grant proposals that are deemed to fall within the purview of the CCOE.
