University of Pennsylvania — Academic Colorectal Surgeon — Assistant Professor

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of colon and rectal surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery or eligible for such certification, or hold comparable non-U.S. certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction and supervision of medical students, surgery residents and colorectal surgery fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include in-patient and outpatient care in colorectal surgery.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic science or clinical research related to colorectal surgery. Applicants with strong interest in and experience with translational research and program development will be preferred.
