University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service (Little Rock) — Assistant / Associate Professor, Livestock Marketing and Management

The Assistant/Associate Professor – Livestock Marketing and Management is responsible for developing and implementing statewide farm and financial management educational programs which include providing educational and resource materials to Extension clientele, training county Extension agents in farm and financial management, assisting county Extension agents in solving producer production problems, and working cooperatively with other Extension and research personnel. The Associate/Assistant Professor collects, evaluates, interprets, & develops subject matter information for dissemination through the Extension delivery system and conducts original program-relevant applied research. The position provides support to field faculty & serves as a recognized reference source for the organization in the area of expertise.

Required: An earned Doctorate in Agriculture Economics or highly related field. ABD candidates will be considered. Doctorate degree must be conferred by the date of hire.

Preferred: Experience in commodity marketing and or farm management and finance is strongly preferred. Understanding of livestock markets, experience in farm investment analysis, experience in livestock and poultry agriculture, experience in cooperative extension all preferred.
