Northeast Ohio Medical University — Assistant Director, Testing Services

Manage operations related to online testing, test scoring and course grades inclusive of exam software management, collaboration with course coordinators and course directors, testing implementation and academic integrity of the testing environment, score reports and reporting, and accurate and confidential grade calculations.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate logistics of online exam administration including creation of online exams, checking exams to ensure that questions are displaying correctly, collaborate with course coordinators to resolve formatting issues, room/computer set-up, computer maintenance, etc.
  2. Subject matter expert in online testing software. Serve as a consultant and trainer to course directors/faculty and course coordinators regarding question bank management, exam creation, and rubrics for grading performance assessments. Collaborate with software technical support and NEOMED IT support to resolve issues related to testing. Maintain software settings that affect online testing functionality.
  3. Manage the processing of first and second year medicine and first, second and third year pharmacy exams for score preparation and report distribution to course directors, registrar and students.
  4. Calculate first and second medicine and first, second and third year pharmacy course grades in accordance with parameters established by each course, ensuring accuracy and maintaining highest level of confidentiality.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences/statistics or related field required; Masters degree in these fields preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong background/understanding of, and experience for at least two years in, data processing and statistical analysis. Experience working in higher education and supervising others preferred.
